Welcome THE SENIOR PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC

Business Sydney was proud to host a distinguished delegation from the Hellenic Parliament in our offices, bringing together over 120 senior Greek Australian business and political leaders for an important and timely discussion.

In partnership with the Consulate General of Greece in Sydney, with the Consul General Giorgos Skemperis, this special business lunch created a valuable platform for engagement, dialogue & connection.

We were honoured to welcome Members of Parliament:

Mr Maximos Pantelis Charakopoulos – Member of Parliament for Larissa (New Democracy)

Mr Filippos Aristotelis Fortomas – Member of Parliament for Cyclades (New Democracy)

Mr Stavros G. Michailidis – Member of Parliament for Chios (PASOK)

Mr Konstantinos Theofanis Mparkas – Member of Parliament for Preveza (SYRIZA)

Their presence reflected a strong cross-section of Greece’s political leadership, offering insights into Greece’s economic outlook, investment opportunities and the future of bilateral cooperation.

The Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr Irenaeus Triantis warmly welcomed the Members of Parliament to Sydney on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Archbishop of Australia & Primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, and delivered a blessing for the lunch.

This important event was proudly sponsored by the Bank of Sydney, with the strong support of Chair, Nikolas Hatzistergos and CEO, Kieran McKenna.

We also thank Angela Tomazos, Chair of the Hellenic Australia Chamber of Commerce & Industry National Federation, for delivering the vote of thanks and acknowledging the significance of this important gathering.
