TOGETHER FOR LIFELINE: SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH AND COMMUNITY WELLBEING

Lunch with The Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales

         EVENT PARTNERS:

Sydney was proud to host more than 130 business leaders for a special luncheon presented by Business Sydney, Lifeline Australia and EML Group, highlighting the critical importance of mental health, wellbeing and community resilience across New South Wales.

Mental health is one of the most important challenges facing our society today. That is why the partnership between Business Sydney, Lifeline Australia and EML is so important. Together, we are helping to raise awareness, foster meaningful conversations and support initiatives that strengthen the wellbeing of individuals, workplaces and communities across our state.

We were honoured to welcome The Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales, who shared his vision for the future of NSW and the vital role business can play in supporting social wellbeing, economic prosperity and stronger communities.

A particular highlight was the insightful fireside conversation between Premier Minns and Dr Anna Brooks, Chief Research Officer at Lifeline Australia. Their discussion reinforced the importance of connection, compassion and leadership in addressing the growing mental health challenges facing Australians.

Thank you to Professor Steve Moylan, Chair of Lifeline Australia, for welcoming guests and introducing the Premier, Daniel Hunter, CEO of Business NSW, for his reflections on supporting mental health in the workplace, and Don Ferguson, CEO of EML Management, for delivering the vote of thanks and recognising the importance of continued collaboration in supporting Lifeline’s vital work.

Most importantly, we acknowledge and thank Lifeline Australia for the extraordinary work it undertakes every day, providing hope, support and human connection to Australians during their most difficult moments.

Together, we can help create healthier workplaces, stronger communities and a more resilient New South Wales.
