THE BUSINESS OF THE NRL & NRLW GRAND FINALS BREAKFAST

The Business of the Grand Final Breakfast, was proudly hosted by Business Sydney in partnership with the Sydney Roosters and Leagues Clubs Australia.

It was a fantastic morning, with 120 business, community and sporting identities coming together to celebrate the NRL Grand Final and the important role sport plays in bringing people together and contributing to Sydney’s economy and community.

We were delighted to hear from Joe Kelly, CEO of the Sydney Roosters, who provided an insight into the club’s future and its important connection with the business community and the community in general.

Our outstanding panels featured some of the biggest names in rugby league, including:

• Mark Bouris AM, Sydney Roosters Board Member and senior business leader
• Luke Ricketson, Sydney Roosters legend and former Australian representative
• Andrew Jolliffe, Sydney Roosters legend
• Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Sydney Roosters legend and former New Zealand international
• Boyd Cordner, Sydney Roosters legend and former Australian captain
• Ruan Sims, former Australian Jillaroos captain and rugby league legend
• Alex Ryvchin, Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry

The discussions provided some terrific insights into the history, culture, and future of the Sydney Roosters, as well as plenty of memories and stories from some of the club’s greatest players.

Thank you also to Don Hammond, Chief Executive Officer, Leagues Clubs Australia, for providing the vote of thanks, and to everyone who contributed to making the morning such a success.

It was a great event to cheer on both the Sydney Roosters men’s and women’s teams as they continue their campaigns, and to celebrate the contribution the Roosters make to Sydney both on and off the field.
