NSW State BUDGET OPPOSITION REPLY BREAKFAST

Business Sydney and Business NSW were pleased to host a highly successful and well-attended breakfast briefing featuring the Leader of the NSW Opposition, the Hon. Mark Speakman SC MP. Held in the wake of the 2025–26 NSW State Budget, this event provided a timely and valuable platform for Mr Speakman to deliver his official Budget in Reply speech.

The morning attracted a strong turnout from Sydney’s business community, with industry leaders, senior executives, and key stakeholders engaging closely with the Opposition Leader on matters critical to the state’s economic and policy landscape. Mr Speakman’s address was comprehensive, covering a wide range of topics including Government debt, public sector productivity, tax reform, health services, housing affordability, cost of living pressures, and support for women across NSW.

Guests appreciated the candid and insightful presentation, which outlined the NSW Coalition’s alternative vision for the state’s future. The session concluded with a robust Q&A with the CEO of Business NSW, Daniel Hunter, the attendees were also able to raise issues directly impacting their businesses and communities.
