Sydney Airport collaborated with Business Sydney to host this exclusive reception to launch Sydney Airport's Draft Master Plan 2045.

By 2045, Sydney Airport is expected to welcome 72 million passengers a year and handle 1.4 million tonnes of freight.

This preliminary draft Master Plan lays out Sydney Airport will grow sustainably, improve connectivity, and deliver a world-class experience for travellers, workers and the community.

The Hon. Emily Suvaal MLC, Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Small Business joined our guests and spoke about the important role Sydney Airport plays for the city and the state. The Shadow Minister for Tourism, the Honourable Kevin Anderson MP, also attended and addressed the audience.

Sydney Airport's CEO, Scott Charlton, then delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the highlights from the airport's 2045 draft Master plan, that is now available for public consultation.

This was followed by a panel discussion on the tourism and economic benefits the 2045 vision will provide Sydney and the state of NSW. Participating in the panel discussion were:

  • Scott Charlton, CEO, Sydney Airport
  • Dean Long, CEO, Australian Travel Industry Association
