INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY LUNCH 2026 WITH KELLIE SLOANE MP

NSW Leader of the Opposition, Member for Vaucluse

         EVENT PARTNER

Sydney came together to celebrate International Women’s Day and this year’s theme, “Balance the Scales,” at a special Business Sydney luncheon highlighting the importance of advancing gender equality across our community, workplaces and institutions.

It was a privilege to welcome our guest of honour, Kellie Sloane MP, Leader of the NSW Opposition and the third woman to lead the New South Wales Liberal Party. Kellie delivered thoughtful remarks on leadership, fairness and the ongoing work required to ensure women have equal opportunities and representation across every sector of society.

Thank you to Clare Sporle, Sydney Managing Partner at EY, for her support of the event and for expertly conducting the Q&A discussion with our outstanding panel; Katrina Rathie, Non-Executive Director at  SBS Australia, Joseph Carrozzi AM, Board Member of Football Australia and President of Business NSW and Kellie Sloane. Their insights on leadership, inclusion and progress for women in business and sport were inspiring.

A sincere thank you also to Rebecca Riant, CEO, Clubs NSW for delivering the vote of thanks and to EY for partnering with Business Sydney and hosting this important conversation.

Events like this remind us that meaningful change requires leadership, collaboration and a shared commitment to ensuring the scales are balanced for women and girls across Australia.
