BEYOND THE GAME WITH THE British & Irish LIONS

Business Sydney, in partnership with the Irish Consulate General and the British Consulate General in Sydney were proud to host an exclusive reception celebrating the British & Irish Lions Rugby tour with the NSW Minister for Sport, the Hon. Steve Kamper MP. event recently titled Driving Innovation Together: A Look Forward at NSW’s Future Economy, as part of Government Innovation Week.

Held at Clayton Utz and attended by leaders from government, industry, and academia, the event explored how collaboration across sectors can help bring the NSW Innovation Blueprint to life. Discussions centred on unlocking economic potential, fostering technological advancement, and addressing shared challenges across our innovation ecosystem.

We were honoured to welcome the Hon. The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, NSW Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Industry and Trade, Innovation, Science and Technology, Building, and Corrections, who delivered an insightful keynote address. The Minister highlighted the critical importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in driving sustainable growth, supporting startups and emerging industries, and ensuring NSW remains at the forefront of innovation.

After the Minister’s presentation he participated in a Q&A with Anna Acopian, Founder and CEO, SafegateAI which was facilitated by Ross Ashman, the Co‑Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Public Sector Network.
