BUSINESS LUNCH ON THE EVE | OF THE TAB EVEREST RACE

With the Hon David Harris MP, NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing

EVENT PARTNERS:

Business Sydney's TAB Everest Eve Business Lunch was a tremendous success, bringing together over 200 business and political leaders to celebrate one of the most exciting, talked-about, and globally recognised events in Australian sport.

The atmosphere reflected the pride Sydney takes in The TAB Everest and the enormous economic, cultural and tourism benefits it brings to our city.

We were honoured to hear from The Hon. David Harris MP, Minister for Gaming and Racing, The Hon Kevin Anderson MP, Shadow Minister for Gaming and Racing, and Tim Hale SC, Chair of the Australian Turf Club, each reinforcing the importance of the racing industry to jobs, tourism and investment across NSW.

A big thank you to our partners Tabcorp, and Racing NSW and to the Australian Turf Club for partnering with us for this major event in our annual program. Thank you to Michael Fitzsimons, Chief Wagering Officer at Tabcorp, for sharing valuable insights into the growth and success of The Everest.

Our dynamic Q&A panel expertly facilitated by Channel 7’s Emma Freedman featured trainer Adrian Bott, jockey Tommy Berry, Peter Switzer and Saranne Cooke, Chair of Racing NSW, who delivered fantastic insights from both the racing and business worlds.

Adding to the excitement, Darren Flindell wowed guests with his signature Phantom Call, and Richard Callander from the NSW Trainers Association conducted the always-popular TAB Everest Calcutta.

Events like this remind us that Sydney doesn’t just host world-class events we create them. They drive our visitor economy, fill our hotels, clubs, retail and restaurants and showcase our city’s confidence and creativity to the world.
