On the eve of The TAB Everest in October 2024, the world’s richest horse race on turf, Business Sydney partnered with Racing NSW and TAB to host a major business lunch, recognising The TAB Everest as the pre-eminent racing event for Sydney.

At this lavish lunch, held in the function room in the WINX Stand at Royal Randwick, the Hon Peter McGauran, Chairman of the Australian Turf Club, officially welcomed the guests, Tabcorp's Chairman, Bruce Akhurst,  then introduced the Hon David Harris MP, NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing, who gave his keynote address on the benefits the race brings to Sydney and NSW. 

Seven Network television presenter & racing identity, Emma Freedman sat down to a Q&A with  leading horse trainer, Ciaron Maher and jockey, Glen Boss in the first Q&A. Emma then sat down and interviewed Sally Loane, Chair, Destination NSW and Tony Shepherd AO, Board Member of Racing NSW & Chair of the Entertainment Quarter. 

The guests also enjoyed a  thrilling phantom call of The Everest 2024 race by expert race caller, Darren Flindell, along with the Official Everest Calcutta, auctioned by Richard Callander.
