With Senator the Hon Tim Ayres & Olympic Gold Medallist, Ariane Titmus OAM
EVENT PARTNER
Business Sydney and Australian Made hosted a vibrant and inspiring breakfast event to celebrate Australian Made Week 2025.
The occasion brought together a passionate community of over 100 business leaders, makers, and growers in a powerful celebration of Australian innovation, craftsmanship, and enterprise.
Australian Made Week serves as a national reminder of the immense value in choosing local—championing the businesses, products, and people that help strengthen our economy, support our communities, and reduce our environmental footprint. The resounding success of this event reinforced just how important and impactful it is to buy Australian made.
A highlight of the morning was an inspiring keynote fireside chat with Ariarne Titmus OAM, Australia’s four-time Olympic gold medallist and world record-breaking freestyle swimmer with Ben Lazzaro, Australian Made Campaign's CEO. As the official ambassador for Australian Made Week 2025, Ariarne is rallying Australians to ‘Go for Gold’ by backing our brilliant local makers and growers.
In addition, the Federal Minister for Industry, Innovation & Science, Senator the Hon Tim Ayres spoke passionately about the Government’s support for manufacturing through initiatives like the Modern Manufacturing Strategy, aiming to boost competitiveness, innovation, and resilience in key sectors.
The event also featured an engaging panel discussion with some of the nation’s leading voices in manufacturing, retail, and sustainability. Their insights reinforced the bright future of Australian-made and the critical role we all play in supporting it. The panel consisted of:
- Kellie Moore, Group Marketing, Communications Manager, Capral Aluminium
- Lee Coomber, General Manager, Opella ANZ
- Chris de Lorenzo, Director, De Lorenzo Hair
The panel was expertly facilitated by Kate Carnell AO, Chair, Australian Made Campaign Limited.
The vote of thanks was moved by Elizabeth McIntyre, CEO, Outdoor Media Association.
