ARTS, CULTURE AND SYDNEY'S FUTURE RECEPTION

With the Hon. John Graham MLC, NSW Minister for the Arts, Music and the Night-time Economy

EVENT PARTNERS:

Over 80 business, political and community leaders joined us for a powerful discussion on how arts and culture continue to shape Sydney’s economy, identity and liveability.

Hosted by Business Sydney in partnership with Sydney Festival, the event featured inspiring keynote addresses from The Hon.
John Graham
MLC, Minister for the Arts and Jobs, and Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Jess Miller both passionate advocates for Sydney’s creative and cultural future.

Our outstanding panel of Karen Jones, CEO of Destination NSW, Kerri Glasscock, Executive Director of Create NSW, Kris Nelson, Sydney Festival Director and Kate Dundas, Chair of Sydney Festival, brought deep insight and energy to the conversation.

Together, they explored how creativity drives tourism, supports jobs, strengthens our night-time economy, and gives Sydney its soul — making it a city people want to live in, invest in, and visit from around the world.

Natalie Turmine, CEO of Service and Creative Skills Australia (SaCSA), moved the vote of thanks.

A big thank you to our event partners John Hart, Suresh Manickam and Restaurant & Catering Australia and Hunter Street Hospitality for helping make the evening such a success.

Sydney’s creativity is what makes it a truly global city — this event reaffirmed just how important it is that government, business and the creative sector continue to work together to shape our future.
