On the eve of the Sydney Swans and the GWS GIANTS Qualifying Final at the SCG, Business Sydney, Business Western Sydney and the AFL hosted a business lunch celebrating the achievements of these two great clubs and their enormous contribution to the Greater Sydney region.

Aunty Maxine Ryan gave an inspiring Welcome to Country and Kylie Gillies from the Seven Network was our fabulous Emcee for the lunch.

We heard from The Hon. Mark Buttigieg MLC, NSW Parliamentary Secretary, who represented the NSW Premier and Dugald Saunders MP, NSW Leader of the Nationals, who represented the Coalition. 

After the meal the two Club CEOs, Tom Harley from the Sydney Swans and David Matthews from the GWS GIANTS addressed the audience. Then Kylie Gillies facilitated a fun panel discussion with the two CEOs along with Nick Ryan, Policy Director, Business Western Sydney and Paul Nicolaou, Executive Director, Business Sydney, where the rivalry between Sydney and Western Sydney was hotly debated. 

After the lucky door prizes were drawn, Gabrielle Trainor AO, AFL Commissioner, wrapped up the formalities by moving the Vote of Thanks.
