EVENT PARTNERS
Released annually by Governance Institute of Australia and Watermark Search International, the 2024 Board Diversity Index is the 10th annual report analysing the latest data on Board diversity for the ASX 300.
The report examines five types of diversity: gender, cultural background, skills/experience, age, and tenure & independence. The diversity index evaluates the involvement of First Nations peoples, LGBTQ+ individuals, those with disabilities, and individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds on Australian boards.
This breadth of data for the 2024 Board Diversity Index ensures meaningful analysis, essential for fostering inclusivity, improving decision-making and performance, enhancing corporate governance.
After David Evans presentation on the latest Board Diversity Index, our panel of Cr Linda Scott, Adam Davids, Mark Baxter and Pauline Vamos further delved into the data and discussed how the dial on Board Diversity can shift for Australian Boards to embrace greater diversity.
