WILLIAM LAVELLE

Director of the Irish Whiskey Association

William Lavelle is Director of the Irish Whiskey Association, the representative body of the Irish whiskey industry, having served since 2017. William is Vice-Chair of the International Trade Committee of spiritsEUROPE, the European spirits industry federation. William previously served as a Special Advisor in the Government of Ireland, including as advisor to Ireland’s former Deputy-Prime Minister. 

  

ROSIE KEANE

Consul General of Ireland to Sydney

Rosie Keane was appointed Consul General of Ireland to Sydney, with accreditation to the State of New South Wales in September 2021.

Prior to joining the diplomatic corps, Rosie worked in the Department of Finance where she worked on markets and securities regulation. She joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2016 initially as Deputy Director for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation. In 2017, Rosie was posted to the Irish Embassy in London, as Brexit Deputy Director.

Rosie holds qualifications in Politics, History, Law, Tax and Financial Services.

 

      

BRYAN FRY

Chairman and CEO, Pernod Ricard Winemakers

Bryan Fry is the Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Winemakers, responsible for the global Pernod Ricard wine production, sales, marketing and distribution, in addition to the distribution of the champagne and spirits portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.

Bryan has worked for Pernod Ricard for 24 years, starting in Operations in South Australia before successfully undertaking various sales, marketing and leadership roles across Australia, Asia Pacific, Brazil and the US.

Prior to returning to his homeland in Australia to lead the Pacific Distribution business, Bryan was President and CEO of Pernod Ricard USA.

Bryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of New England.
