In the countdown to the March 25 State Poll, the Premier joined Business Sydney and Business NSW members and guests for a major breakfast at the historic Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. 

The Premier spoke about the importance of big events to the economic life of our city and the lifestyle of its citizens. Including the benefits being played out in real time with the 2023 Sydney WorldPride celebration, the first time this signature event has been held in the Southern Hemisphere - a big win for Sydney. 

Business NSW President, Lyall Gorman Introduced the Premier, Daniel Hunter, CEO, Business NSW conducted a Q&A before Kate Wickett, CEO of Sydney WorldPride moved the vote of thanks. 

At the breakfast, Business Sydney launched its Top 10 policy ideas for the upcoming election.

THE HON. DOMINIC PERROTTET MP

Premier of New South Wales

The Hon. Dominic Perrottet MP is the recently appointed Premier of New South Wales (5th October 2021), and the Member for Epping in the NSW Parliament.

He was first appointed Treasurer and Deputy Leader in January 2017, having previously served as Minister for Finance and Services from April 2014, and then Minister for Finance, Services and Property from April 2015. Dominic was re-appointed Treasurer and Deputy Leader of the NSW Liberal Party in March 2019 following the re-election of the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government.

Dominic grew up in the Hills District and was educated at Redfield College and Oakhill College before graduating from Sydney University with a Commerce/Law degree.

Before entering Parliament, Dominic worked as a solicitor at Henry Davis York Lawyers in the areas of banking restructuring and insolvency law.

At university, Dominic became involved in student politics and served as a member of the Student Representative Council and was elected president of the Sydney University Liberal Club. He was also elected as the President of the NSW Young Liberal movement and served on the State Executive of the NSW Liberal Party.

In March 2015 Dominic was elected as the Member for Hawkesbury in the NSW Legislative Assembly. He previously served as the Member for Castle Hill from 2011 to 2015.
