As we begin rebuilding the economy after lockdown, addressing the hard-hit tertiary education sector and addressing the growing skills shortage will be key to Sydney’s economic recovery.
The NSW government is phasing in a trial to bring in international students next month and the Federal Government is also assisting in the return of these students, a major source of funding for our universities.
NSW Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education, the Hon Geoff Lee MP provided a briefing on progress in the recovery of the higher education sector and training the future workforce to meet the skills shortage in our first Boardroom Lunch since lockdown.
Dr Geoff Lee MP is the Member for Parramatta, Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education.
